#502 - 1984 Honda GL1200 Aspencade
This 1984 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade is powered by a liquid-cooled 1,182cc flat-four mated to a five-speed transmission and finished in black and metallic gray with red pinstriping. Features include adjustable air suspension with an onboard compressor, triple disc brakes, a locking trunk and saddlebags, a hydraulic clutch, and a cassette stereo, windshield extenders, and trailer hitch. The bike was acquired from the original family that owned it in 2023 and used to take photos of a new bike accessory. The tires were replaced prior to them selling the bike, which belonged to an uncle. This GL1200A is offered at no reserve with a tool kit, an owner’s manual, two vintage Goldwing jackets, a clean WA Title, and a service record.
The bodywork is finished in dark blue with metallic gray accents and red pinstriping, and includes hard-sided saddlebags and a trunk in addition to a front fairing. The bike features integrated turn signals and running lights, a stepped two-up seat with a passenger backrest, rider and passenger footboards, and a clear windshield with extenders as well as accessories such as an engine guard, highway pegs, and a throttle lock. No tears in the leather.
The fork and dual shocks feature electronic adjustability via an onboard air compressor. The 16″ front and 15″ rear wheels are Dunlop tires that were mounted by the shop. Braking is from dual vented discs up front and a single version in the rear.
The inner fairing features storage pockets on either side, an electrical accessory outlet, and a Panasonic cassette stereo connected to two dash-mounted speakers. Digital instrumentation consists of a speedometer, a tachometer, and a gear indicator as well as graph-style readouts for fuel level and engine temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 37,383 miles.
The 1,182cc SOHC flat-four features hydraulic lifters, quadruple 32mm Keihin CV carburetors, a four-into-two exhaust system, and CDI electronic ignition. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a hydraulic clutch, a five-speed manual transmission, and a driveshaft.
