Acquired in 1975 near Canberra, Australia, by Peter Gifford who subsequently restored it over a period of six years. Most of the restoration work, including engine work, body work and painting, was performed by Mr. Gifford in his shed. The paint color is faithful to the “Chamois” tone originally offered by GM. That Mr. Gifford was able to almost singlehandedly restore this Oldsmobile Holden from what he reported was “a pile of rubbish” is a tribute to his dedication and perseverance.
