Lot #150 - 1961 Facel Vega Facellia Cabriolet

$0.00

This 1961 Facel Vega Facellia Cabriolet is highly collectible and a very worthy project. Only 1,045 Facellias were produced, and very few Cabriolets remain. Facel Vega debuted the Facellia at the 1959 Paris Motor Show. In the early '60's, the Facelliia's sportiness was aimed squarely at the Alfa Giulietta, Mercedes-Benz 190SL, and Porsche 356B. Produced in coupe, cabriolet and 2+2, it was intended to fill every sports car enthusiast's desires.

This car has had only two California owners since new. The factory motor was a problem and the dealer offered choices for a warranty replacement. The Volvo P1800 4-cylinder was a common choice and is an especially nice with the 4-speed Leycock overdrive transmission. Both of these units, along with accessories and linkages accompany the car. Active clubs exist in the U.S., Europe, and abroad for assistance. Facel Vega's are highly regarded worldwide. Fully restored, the car is likely worth $125,000 today. Exceptional Opportunity!
