#080 Durant Motors Star Radiator
Durant Motors was an American car company started in 1921, in Long Island City, NY. It was founded by William "Billy" Durant who had been fired from his CEO position at General Motors. The company produced vehicles from 1922 through 1928.
The Star was an "assembled car" line, produced from outside supplier components. Early models used these honeycomb style radiators that were very distinctive at the time. This radiator appears to be an early edition and is likely 100+ years old. The patina on the frame structure only adds character to its age.
